These extruded, solid brass drop leaf hinges are expensive, but so is the table I'm building. The only other drop leaf hinges to be found are made of stamped steel and are very loose and sloppy. Sloppy hinges require a larger gap in the rule joint to accommodate the movement of the sloppy hinges. These extruded hinges are very precise so I can fit the top and its leaves together as close as a rule joint should be. I am happy to find these at Horton.
