Shipping, Payment, and Returns
Payment
All orders are prepaid, unless an open account has been established in advance. We accept checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or are happy to ship your order COD. Your credit card will not be billed until your order has been shipped.
Shipping
All orders are shipped promptly. Most are shipped within 24 hours. All brass hardware is in stock at all times and we are proud of our speedy shipping. In addition, we can use the overnight, 2day, and 3day services offered by FedEx or UPS. Should you choose any of our expedited options, we will do everything possible to ship your order the same day we receive it. If you have special instructions (leave at back door, yellow house in rear, etc.) be sure to tell us in the comments area during the checkout, so the package can be delivered promptly.
- Ground shipping charges for U.S. customers is a mere $5.00.
Please don't ask us to reduce the $5.00 because you are ordering one or two items! We have the lowest shipping charge in the industry and we do not make any profit on our shipping charge. Whether you order $3.00 or $3000.00 worth of hardware, there are certain costs in simply processing your order. $5.00 is fair.
- Three day shipping Three business day shipping to anywhere in the continental US is $9.00.
- Second day air under 10 lbs. is $12.00
- Overnight air Overnight shipping charges are based on weight and location. You will be charged the actual cost with no markup. If you would like overnight pricing before deciding, please tell us in the note field of the order form so we can call you. Most of the time we will use Fedex Priority overnight shipping. Fedex arrives by 10:30AM or noon in most locations. In some suburban and rural areas it can arrive later, so please ask if you need to know.
- International shipping charges depend on weight and location. We can quote shipping prices by email to you prior to processing your order.
We use air mail, FedEx, UPS; for large orders we use freight forwarders. We will select the most economical method for you after checking your options. If you have a preference, please tell us. If you would like to know the shipping charges in advance, tell us what you would like to order and we will package and weigh it, and quote a price.
We provide all customs documentation including multiple invoice copies, certificates of origin and an SED when required. We try to make your customs clearance as efficient as possible.
Once in a blue moon, an order for hand-forged iron is not in stock, and may take a few days longer.
Returns
You may return hardware for exchange or refund. Please contact us first, and try to return the hardware within 60 days. If you find that you cannot use the hardware you have ordered, we will issue a full refund of the purchase price (excluding the labor charge for bright finish, and shipping charges). We will be happy to exchange your hardware if there is another product you want to try. If you find an error in your shipment, please let us know. We will correct it immediately at no expense to you. Our hardware is fully guaranteed, and should function perfectly in the years to come. If there is ever a problem, let us know and we will resolve it.
