Billy Naylor from Springfield High School - Billy Naylor

As a sophomore at Springfield High School in 2006, I designed and built a roll-top desk out of African Ribbon mahogany. The desk features five Queen Anne legs, panelled sides, and matching grain on the bottom drawers. I brushed on four coats of Deft lacquer finish and topped it off with a final coat of Briwax… many thanks to Horton Brasses for the hardware! It was the perfect finishing touch for my project. I hope to utilize this privilege next year on my final project!!

Hey Billy,
What a great looking desk...are you sure you want to take it with you when you grow up and move out? It looks really good in the living room.
Love ya,
Mom

Absolutely fantastic!

I see quite the craftsmanship coming from your school. You must have a great mentor.
