Thaddeus Stevens School of Technology Student Work

Martin Mang from Erie, PA
Martin saw this Shaker sewing stand in an issue of Fine Woodworking magazine and was intrigued. There are drawers in the front and also on the side. This project involved a tremendous amount of joinery, and was very difficult. The primary wood is cherry, and the front door uses curly maple veneer. Martin plans on keeping the piece and looks forward to a future in woodworking.

Using Quality Hardware
Finish: You've strived to get your wood to glow. The brasses need to accentuate that effort. A beautiful finish is the final step.
