The Sheraton Nightstand and Hepplewhite style End table are both handmade of solid mahogany. Traditional mortise and tenon and dovetail joinery were used throughout. Both pieces are finished nicely with a hand rubbed shellac and Horton Brasses Sheraton Knobs. http://www.doucetteandwolfefurniture.com

This tiger maple secretary has influences from the Chippendale period, as well as strong Hepplewhite design influences of the Federal era. It was designed and built by Steve Smith of Anadarko, Oklahoma, and features the fancy bail open pulls. I like using the open pulls on Tiger maple pieces because they allow more of the grain to "speak". I always use hardware from Horton Brasses because it is so authentic to the New England Furniture that I love to copy.

This classic baroquial piece is made of solid curly walnut, eastern white pine, and hard maple. The finish is composed of two water based dyes, linseed oil, shellac, and wax. The drop pulls from Horton finished it off. There's a small hidden box, made of Spanish cedar, underneath the middle drawer in the lower case.

I was inspired to build this project after watching Norm Abram on the PBS TV show "The New Yankee Workshop". I knew I had to obtain the same hardware from Horton Brasses to make the piece authentic.

We are pleased to announce that we can now offer you custom brass casting in addition to our custom hand forged iron work. Please call me, Orion, at 800-754-9127 for details.

The cherry was stained with aniline dye then a hand rubbed oil finish was used. Horton Brasses hardware was used throughout. Brass lift off hinges and brass knobs were used.
