Reproduction Locks

We are delighted to introduce Kevin, our locksmith. Kevin specializes in producing and repairing authentic reproduction locks.

The locks on in this section are special order items. If you have an old lock that needs a key, or isn't quite working, Kevin can fix it. Simply send it to us and we will quote on the task. Is there a period lock you have seen that you would like? Perhaps an old crab lock for a trunk, or a Medieval lock for a wine cellar?if so, Kevin can make it for you. We keep numerous reference texts on hand and can help you choose an antique lock if you need assistance.

Hand Forged Iron Trunk Lock

Authentic Chippendale trunk lock, copied from Sonn's authorative text. All edges are hand filed. The hasp is a tremendous forging and is very beautiful. Whitesmithed finish, with hand fitted key. Perfect for a remarkable trunk or to the lock collector.

Hand Forged Iron Trunk Locks

Both of these locks are half mortise locks, but one mounts from the inside and the other mounts from the outside of the trunk. Our locksmith makes these from as many old iron bits he can find and each will look very individual and very authentic.
