These latches are copies of originals that are shown in Early American Wrought Iron, by Albert H. Sonn, a renowned reference text. These latches include all component parts and fasteners.

Norfolk Latch Sets

Important - Reverse Bevel:
It is important to determine the type of latch set you need when ordering. The bar and catch will change in accordance with your requirements.

Stand on the side of the door you plan to mount the grip on. If the hinges are on the inside and in order to open, the door will swing away from you, order a regular latch set. If the door opens towards you, then order the reverse bevel latch. See installation diagram.

We are proud to introduce a new smith. Curt lives in Indiana with his family and produces our Norfolk latches. He is a full time blacksmith, and developed this product with us early in 2000.
