Exterior latches are quite a bit larger overall. The material used is thicker, and the catch is of a different design. They will work for a door that is up to 2-1/4" thick. If your door is thicker, we can simply make a longer thumbpiece for you.
For interior doors, an optional privacy lock is available. This lock is a reproduction of an antique lock, and operates by simply swinging down and preventing the bar from being lifted.
