Hand Forged Iron Butt Hinges

Many doors are mounted with butt hinges; and in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, these were made from cast iron. The problem with cast iron is that it is brittle and tends to break eventually. We were making so many custom replacements, we decided to offer them as stock items. These are excellent hand forged replacements and offered in the sizes our customers seem to need the most.

Lift off hinges come in left and right handed configurations. Please see our drawing to determine which you need.
