These 'one lever' drawer locks are made in England. This means there is one lever in each lock which must be raised to the correct height for the lock to operate. This will prevent opening the lock with a passkey, or a bent paper clip; they are not, however, high security locks.
The external case is solid brass. The internal mechanism is cased in a steel box, just as the old ones were. Each is supplied with a decorative, antiqued key.
