Plain Tipped Precision Butt Hinges

These hinges are superior to any hinge in existence today, in our opinion. Our customers asked us to produce an exceptional butt hinge (sometimes called inset hinges) to match our kitchen cabinet hardware, and we think we did. For 3/4"-1" thick doors. Six finishes.

Glen Huey is a very interesting person. He is often featured in Popular Woodworking magazine. Of course, we are always delighted when he chooses our hardware. In the June 2007 issue, he built a Sugar Chest, which is a piece with an interesting history. He hinged the top with precision butt hinge PB-409 (antique brass, slotted screws).
hinge profileThese hinges are first extruded from solid brass barstock, and then each is machined to aircraft tolerances. They have 7 knuckles and tight pins. The hinges are nearly 3/32" thick, and will support even the heaviest cabinet door. Don't hesitate to use them on doors with leaded glass inserts--you will not be disappointed. Supplied with size 4, 3/4" long screws. Choose phillips or slotted screws.

If you make a mistake, there are only two charges we do not refund: shipping and the Bright charge. The Bright charge is a labor charge and cannot be refunded. Shipping is not refunded for obvious reasons.
