Chris Addis -

In my sophomore year at Springfield High School in Mr. Trout’s Industrial Material class, I designed and built a fainting couch out of African Ribbon Mahogany. My couch was based off of an old Victorian couch from original 19th century photographs.. My project features carvings on the legs, hand carved decorations, and Victorian upholstery that I learned from a professional. Deft lacquer finish and brass trim at the base provided a final touch.
