For my fourth and final year with Mr. Trout and the Industrial Materials program of Springfield High school, I wanted to design a piece that incorporated most of what I learned during my first three years. I designed a uniquely-shaped wardrobe using African ribbon mahogany as the major wood. I hand-carved the ball and claw feet and hand-dovetailed the drawers. I also kept the design consistent throughout by building concave drawer fronts and base sides to match the cove molding on the crown. I finished it off with 4 coats of Deft lacquer finish, Briwax, and beautiful Horton Braees pulls!
