Post a photo and a description of your project and we will feature it on our site! We’re especially looking for photos containing Art Deco, Victorian, Mackintosh, or iron hardware.
LeFort Furniture specializes in hand crafting the finest late 18th century high style furniture he can find. Each piece is carved by hand, and these carvings are magnificent. Dave uses traditional techniques, all dovetails are cut by hand, and every piece of wood is carefully matched. This lowboy embodies his style beautifully. He chose our CH-8 drawer pulls in antique brass, one of my personal favorites among Chippendales.
This Arts & Crafts side table is made of mahogany and curly maple and the two woods provide a lovely contrast to one another. The top is nicely inlaid for more contrast and the antique brass hardware (AD-4067) accents the maple very well. John Mensch recently moved from McKinney, Texas and now lives in New York. John builds custom furniture in many styles from his one man shop. John enjoys working closesly with his customers on each project and Ellie (his dog) likes his customers too. This tiger maple Chippendale lowboy is reproduced from a Philadelphia piece, circa 1760-1770. It is beautifully proportioned and has wonderful ball & claw feet. Philadelphia patrons loved carving--the scrolled apron is masterful and completes the piece. Gregg uses our PC-81 Chippendale drawer pulls to complement the design, and they look just right.
Bob Hodgetts took part of New England's soul to Colorado and works bringing traditional furniture to the wild west. This Newport blockfront is built from a staple of the New England forest: tiger maple. The carving on this piece is quite splendid, and really makes the chest a masterpiece. We are proud that our drawer pulls were used on the piece.
The Maynards are interested in most kinds of furniture and design, and this curiosity keeps their pieces living and changing. It is easy to see why they are successful. Their furniture radiates joy to me. From museum seating to custom work to office furnishings to Asian influenced pieces, their versatility helps define them; and you can see a small piece of this variety on their website.
Riverside Artisans designs and builds amazing spaces. The traditional, as shown here, is just one approach. Recently Jim's work was featured in Taunton Press's new Custom Furniture Source Book. In it, he shows clean curves, and flowing lines, a taste of the modern blended with the past, and overall an eye for beauty.
