Greg built this piece entirely from choke cherry harvested in northeast Wisconsin. The finish is oil and varnish, and the knots in the wood have been left in to give it character. We are delighted he chose to use our Mackintosh drawer pulls and hinges.

Chandler Bryan is from Lancaster, South Carolina and he made both of these cabinets from walnut. One is a wall cabinet and the other is a wine cabinet. The doors and side panels are veneered with crotch grain that he resawed himself. The details are simple, yet very pleasing. The Art Deco period was an interesting one, where woodworkers experimented with angular surfaces and curves. Veneers were very popular and mixed materials were common. Unfortunately, not much Art Deco furniture was made with traditional joinery so not much is left. Chandler's solid craftsmanship means that his pieces will be around forever. Hardware: Aston Cross (early 20th Century) and CP-11 hinges.
