Chris has been honored to do restoration work for the last remaining Shaker community at Sabbathday Lake since the late 70's. Of all of his work, I have chosen these two pieces because of their unique features. The music stand takes my breath away. Its simplicity is one element but what I like most is the sense of balance it embodies. The candleholder is suspended by nylon filament and the heat of the candle and the filament promote its rotation, so not only is it incredibly graceful, it casts ever changing designs around the room!
