One of Charles Neil's best known pieces: a classic southern sugar chest with brass hardware. Sugar chests are a fine example of southern furniture that were once common in most houses. While once used for locking up sugar and other spices, today sugar chests find all sorts of uses from storing magazines and books, to holding a laptop computer.
Charles Neil's sugar chest in a more rustic style with iron hardware and a distressed finish. The iron strap hinges, HF-10, that were used on this piece need to be custom made. The stock size is a bit too long. Please give us a call at 800-754-9127 to order.
Custom work. Need a custom piece in brass, iron, even aluminum? We can do it. Please contact us for details.
