These are hand made hinges for cabinet doors. They mount like any butt hinge, and the frame and edge of the door are mortised to fit the thickness of the hinge. They are made from iron that is about the thickness of a dime.

Do you have an old cast iron door hinge that is quite thick and has broken? If so, you'll need to see our larger iron butt hinges.
