Hammered Mushroom Knobs
We are never content to rest on our laurels and with that in mind we have another new product for 2009. This brings our total since July of 2008 to 35 new products. Our newest iron knob comes from England-it is a machine made knob with a hand waxed finish. It matches our other iron hardware to a tee.

- Our wrought iron is forged by hand in the traditional 18th century manner, blackened only with heat and finished with linseed oil. Naturally, items fabricated traditionally require care and maintenance.
- All hardware includes all fasteners needed for installation. You can order extra fasteners if required.
- Posts are 1-1/4" long. Find more information about other post lengths and wood thickness.
Why Horton Brasses?
Sustainability. We choose our packing materials with the planet in mind. We use popcorn and newspaper. The popcorn, made from cornstarch, is a harmless alternative to Styrofoam. It is completely biodegradable and dissolves in water. The newspaper we use represents the ultimate recycling. Our employees bring it in and we reuse it!
Our Crew
Another of our blacksmiths shall remain nameless, as she is somewhat camera shy. She and her family live in a beautiful part of rural Kentucky on an old farm.
