Thomas Sheraton (1751-1806) achieved little recognition for his furniture designs during his lifetime. Although a furniture designer by trade, his true happiness came from his writing. His designs live on his books. The Cabinet Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing Book continues to provide inspiration for today's furniture and cabinetmakers.
Sheraton knobs are beautiful and have many applications. Use them on dresser drawers, kitchen cabinets, cupboard doors or bathroom vanities. We show them here in antique brass; you may order them in polished brass (bright), semi-bright, or dark antique (oil rubbed bronze).
Our Sheraton knobs are made just like the originals: stamped from a sheet of solid brass and supplied with a backplate of the same diameter. If you prefer a larger or smaller backplate, please tell us. We will be happy to substitute one for the other, there is no charge for this.
Sustainability. We choose our packing materials with the planet in mind. We use popcorn and newspaper. The popcorn, made from cornstarch, is a harmless alternative to Styrofoam. It is completely biodegradable and dissolves in water. The newspaper we use represents the ultimate recycling. Our employees bring it in and we reuse it!
Horton Brasses produces more than 1,000 different pieces of authentic reproduction furniture and cabinet hardware at our factory in Connecticut. We use brass, iron, and various hardwoods to make knobs, drawer pulls, hinges, shelf pegs, bed bolts, casters, hooks and even clock finials!
