Half Mortise Chest Locks

  • For step by step instructions on installing a half mortise lock please visit our Blog.
  • All hardware includes all fasteners needed for installation. You can order extra fasteners if required.
  • All dimensions are measured width by height.
  • Locks are not available in the antique finish. To achieve an antiqued look, simply give the body of the lock a coat of stain.

Glen Huey is a woodworker who is often featured in Popular Woodworking magazine. We are always delighted when he uses our hardware. In the June 2007 issue, he built a Southern Sugar Chest, which is a piece with an interesting history. To lock the top, he used our CL-5 chest lock.

Solid brass chest locks available in two sizes. Each is supplied with two keys and a mating receptacle. 1-3/16" from top to the pin with a 9/16" selvedge.

Half Mortise Chest Locks

I am very pleased with the brass, half mortise chest lock and inset escutcheon. It's of good quality and will really complete the old pine chest I'm working on. The order arrived quickly and was well packaged. Thank you.
