A perfect match for our clock, January 6, 2015 By Steven Habiague (Poughquag, NY)
Last November we purchased at auction a somewhat dog eared Federal longcase clock. Its lower case had been cut off, presumably to allow this nearly 8 feet tall clock to fit under an 8 foot ceiling. All its finials were missing. Only the wooden finial holding cups were left. A quick search in the internet produced the Horton Brasses catalog. It offers many choices, and it was easy to find the right finials. We first purchased three smaller ones. One look told us that the center finial had to be larger, so we ordered the one you are inquiring about. We are delighted with the quality of your finials, as well as the very appropriate (light antique) finish on them. The clock really needed them, they do not clash with the 200 year old woodwork, and Horton Brasses successfully came to the rescue. Many thanks!
