Ball Catches and Shelf Pegs

High quality, spring loaded catches in two sizes. Machined brass casing with steel ball is supplied with matching receptacle. Each ridge in the case is slightly larger than the ridge below so that a snug press fit can be achieved.

Additional Keywords: shelf supports, shelf peg, ball catch, bullet catch Once installed, our ball catches are a joy to use. To install, carefully establish the depth you need. These catches will press fit snugly into the hole. The size of the drill bit is debatable. Some people use spade or forstner bits, while others have better luck with regular drill bits. Hardwoods and softwoods respond differently. Most of the time 11/32" bits work for the BC-265 and 7/16" bits work for the BC-275. No matter which bit you use, make sure you test on scrap wood before drilling in your final piece. Large doors require two per door, one on the top and one on the bottom; but smaller doors can be aligned with only one.
