Screw Fittings

We carry three different types of screw installations for all of our antique style reproduction hardware. See the difference between machine screw and post and nut fittings.

Machine Screw Fitting

With a machine screw post, you will not have a nut and post on the inside of a drawer. Machine screw fittings will come with screws for 3/4″ thick wood. If your wood is thicker or thinner, please tell us in the note field.

Authentic Post and Nut Fitting

A post and nut is a very traditional way to mount drawer pulls. If your furniture is antique, or you want it to look that way, you should consider using a post and nut. The post itself is 1-1/4″ long. For most drawers you will need to counterbore and or cut the excess length off the posts once installed to get an ideal fit

Wood Screw Fitting

Wood screw fittings are the simplest form of installing your hardware. These types of fittings screw directly onto the face of the wood. Nothing protrudes through the backside of the wood. The upper half of our wood screws are threaded as a machine screw that thread into our knobs or posts. The bottom have is he screw side that screws into your furniture. Our wood screw fittings are sized for either 6/32, 8/32, and 10-24 screw holes.
