Description
The William and Mary style came to be known for its tall and slender proportions. Furniture got lifted up onto delicately turned legs, and hardware became decorative as well as functional. Cast brass was becoming more popular, with exceptional detail paid to escutcheons and drop pulls. Our collection thoroughly captures all of the variations of this style with over 100 items to add just the right touch to your project.
This pull resembles some on a desk with ball feet and burl walnut veneered front c. 1700-1720, and seen on pg. 139 of Sack’s Fine Points of Furniture.
