Description
2-3/8″ Solid Brass Bed Bolt Cover – Federal Period Reproduction
Heavy-Duty Historical Hardware for Fine Furniture
The 2-3/8″ Bed Bolt Cover (SKU: H-120) is more than just a decorative accent; it is a piece of American furniture history. Based on original designs dating back to just after the Revolutionary War, this cover is a quintessential example of Federal-period style.
The “Heavy Stock” Difference Unlike thinner, mass-produced alternatives, the H-120 is one of our premium covers made from significantly heavier brass stock. These were originally cast patterns, and our modern reproductions maintain that substantial, high-quality feel. Each piece is stamped using the original intricate dies and punches hand-made by our founder, Frank Horton, in the 1920s and 30s.
Form Meets Function
Conceal Fasteners: These covers elegantly hide the unsightly holes where bed bolts enter the posts, providing a seamless look to your bed frame.
Easy Maintenance: Furniture naturally shifts over time. The swing-arm design allows you to rotate the cover upward to expose the bolt for periodic tightening without removing the hardware.
Uniquely American: Own a piece of hardware from one of only two companies still hand-making traditional bed hardware in the USA.
Finishes to Suit Your Style Customize your hardware to match your wood tone or existing room decor. Our 2-3/8″ covers are available in:
Traditional: Polished Brass (Unlacquered), Antique, Light Antique, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze.
Modern: Satin Brass, Satin Nickel, and Polished Nickel (Special order).
