The HF-2 5″ Ball & Spear Iron Grip: Architectural Elegance for the Modern Forge
The HF-2 5″ Ball & Spear Iron Grip represents the more formal, architectural side of early American ironwork. Part of our signature Horton’s Forge collection, this pull is patterned after refined 18th-century originals that were once the hallmark of the finest homes in the colonies. The “Ball & Spear” finial offers a more structured, dignified aesthetic than rustic heart or bean designs, making it a perfect choice for transitional spaces and “Industrial Chic” kitchens alike.
Every grip is handmade in the USA using traditional coal-fired blacksmithing techniques. 1 Because these are wrought with a hammer and anvil—not cast in a mold—the iron is less porous and offers “sturdiness and substance” that you can feel with every use. At 5 inches, this handle provides a versatile mid-size profile that fits comfortably on standard drawers and larger cabinet doors, providing a tactile connection to American heritage.
Handmade in the USA with a coal fire, a hammer, and an anvil.
