Also known as “fish-tail” or “dovetail” hinges due to their beautifully flared ends, these are the definitive choice for authentic period reproductions and high-end custom chests.
Designed for durability and historic accuracy, the hinge mounts to the inside of the lid, with an L-shaped portion that wraps around the inside back of the case. This hidden strength allows the artistic hand-forged strap to be the focal point of your project.
