When crafting or restoring a drop leaf table, the hinge is the most critical mechanical component. Our 2-1/8″ Solid Brass Drop Leaf Table Hinges are designed specifically for “rule joint” applications, where the table leaf must swing smoothly while maintaining a tight, decorative edge.

Machined from solid brass extrusions, these hinges offer a level of strength and precision that stamped steel or cast brass alternatives cannot match. The unequal leaf lengths are purposefully designed to span the rule joint, providing maximum support where the wood is thinnest.

• Precision Rule Joint Fit: Specifically engineered with a countersink on the “wrong” side (the barrel side) to allow for the traditional drop-leaf installation where the hinge is mortised into the underside of the table.

• Solid Extruded Brass: Machined from heavy-duty solid brass, these hinges will not stretch or sag over time, ensuring your table leaves stay perfectly aligned.

• Smooth Operation: Our tight machining tolerances eliminate “slop,” providing a silent, steady movement that reflects the quality of your woodworking.

• Counter-Sunk for Strength: Designed to be installed with screws of varying lengths to provide the most secure grip in the tabletop and the leaf.
