Cast Brass Knobs

We recently purchased the K-14 in Antique (A) finish for use on a white oak bookcase being built for us. These knobs are very well made, and the finished detail in the casting is very nice. They also have a suitably solid feel to them. And this finish turned out to be very close to some antique tarnished brass that we have on some family heirloom furniture. We also like that the "popcorn peanuts" used to pack them for shipping are actually made of cornstarch, and they really dissolve in water (I did it), so no styrofoam added to our landfill or no storing the peanuts for our once-a-year county styrofoam recycling! The very inexpensive ($5 regardless of size of order) ground shipping was also exceptionally prompt -- we ordered on a Sunday and received the following Wednesday afternoon, which is just unheard of. And everything was made in USA. What's not to like about this whole experience? I highly recommend Horton Brasses to anyone doing period restoration or antique reproduction woodworking. This company seems to have gotten it right.
