Pulls

Beautiful and just as comfortable to the touch, our pulls are a must for antique and reproduction furniture. While contemporary pieces stay within a narrow range of styles, antique furniture is notable for its uniqueness. Shapes, contours, and details set each architectural style apart. Yet, hardware does not always last, and for full use and functionality, new parts should replace any older, damaged ones.

Yet, such antique-style or reproduction hardware pulls are difficult to find. Modern pulls do not replicate the same look and are not made with the same details. Horton Brasses, creating brass reproduction pulls since 1936, keeps this in mind when creating hardware. The techniques once used by early American craftsman are employed in our Cromwell, Conn. factory, as are antique dies and patterns. As a result, each pull has a period authentic appearance without compromises.

Because of the great range of styles antique furniture can have, from Arts and Crafts to Chippendale to Victorian, our pulls fulfill specific design and structural needs. Pulls we carry include:

  • Bin or Queslett Pulls
With a smooth, one-piece design, these pulls are equally adept to match with antique pieces as they are with contemporary drawers and furniture. Each is made out of forged brass with a hand-applied finish.
  • Drop Pulls
Are characterized by a loose handle hanging from the center. Sizes, styles, and composition vary greatly with these pulls. Angular, long, smaller, and round are all possibilities, as are simple and versatile or intricately detailed. Generally made out of brass, our Victorian pulls additionally incorporate darker-finished wood.
  • Drawer Pulls
Antique drawers greatly range in sizes, and our selection of drawer pulls matches the variety. A ring or bail pull is attached to a back plate. Consider this hardware for your kitchen, a desk with drawers, or a secretary.
  • Ring Pulls
With a circular or oval-shaped handle, ring pulls have a simple and classic look. Our lion's head pulls, on the other hand, have an elaborate, distinctly period look.
  • Bakes Pulls
A must for the kitchen, bakes pulls are elegant and versatile. One of these brass handles can be installed onto a cabinet, appliance, dishwasher, or refrigerator for a sturdier, more comfortable grip.
