I was unsure where I would ever find someone to rain the original he hinges on the front door of a federal cape I have been working on, and Horton's immediately responded that they would be happy to do it. The hinges had worn in the knuckle and iron spacers were deftly applied, retaining all of the original fabric and character of the hinges.

I spent the better part of the last five COVID months building my wife a clothes chest from quarter sawn pallet oak in my spare time. I hand cut 10 bow tie joints and dozens of other aesthetic joints during the making of this box. Naturally, after well over 100 hours into the creation of this piece, I wanted hardware that my local ACE couldn’t provide. Horton to the Rescue!

Again, Horton Brasses comes to the rescue! My most recent project was restoring a ca:1820's Sheraton secretary. Surprisingly, It was mostly intact. It was missing one interior brass drawer pull, and had some mismatched hinges. Searching my stash of antique bits & pieces for the needed hardware was of no help. As usual, we turned to Horton's for this tiny but needed drawer pull. There it was, just waiting to be found! As always Horton was reproducing the exact size & shape, with a selection of finishes. We have known and used Horton for many, many years. From the early 1980's furniture work, then the 1990's restoration of our ca:1775 home, Horton has been our "go to" source for correct, period appropriate hardware. For wrought hardware to fine small brass details like the desks drawer, you can always count on finding the exact item at Horton Brasses.
