Our most popular latch, this is a beautiful piece of kitchen hardware. These turn-of-the century brass cupboard latches were used in butler pantries. The clean, simple shape makes them just as beautiful on country cabinets as they are on contemporary cabinetry. Brass cupboard latches are available in 7 finishes, including dark antique (oil rubbed), and our newest finish: light antique.
There are many varieties of pantry door latches on the market today. Not only do most work poorly or fail after frequent use, they cost a small fortune! If you are installing these in your kitchen, the last thing you want is failure. Before we made this latch ourselves, we sold several other vendor's latches and found we were repairing most before sending them out. This is now our third generation pantry door latch and it works beautifully. The mechanism is durable and has a wonderfully smooth feel. I'll say the same thing in this review that I just posted in my review of some matching knobs: I never have to worry about quality with Horton, especially the quality of the finishes. Some hardware lines offer finishes like "antique brass" and "oil rubbed bronze" that can be all over the map—sometimes even samples of the same product don't match, or just look cheap and inauthentic. Not with Horton. And the prices are reasonable. Great value. Just what I want to deliver for my clients.

I love these latches... they were the perfect finish to my built in wall hutch that were 9 feet tall with glass doors and drawers. The entire unit had various hardware that just perfectly accented each. Bin Pulls on the drawers, knobs on solid doors and these latches on the glass doors. Looked right out of an old / new English Kitchen . The quality is exceptional. We exchanged the screws that came with them as we needed to tighten a bit more and concerned the brass head would come off.
Customer service at Horton is EXCELLENT. They understood even after weeks of having to exchange something it was not a problem.
I highly recommend this company and this product.

The Cupboard Latch are outstanding quality! It performs beautifully and looks great. This latch is simple but elegant in the polished nickel finish and it blends well with the other hardware I used.

Bought this catch for a dart board cabinet I'm making for a gift. The style of the cabinet is craftsman and these fit the bill to a tee. Very solid and well made. Pricey, yes but the quality is there.

I searched for the right combination of finish and function for my kitchen latches and really scored with this latch. While it was more expensive than others I looked at the latches function so beautifully, I have not given another thought to the cost. The antiqued bronze finish is a rich, deep brown black that I was looking for. This latch was perfect for me.
