The folks at Lost Art Press created one of the the most inspired and inspiring woodworking projects of the last decade. The famed Anarchist's Tool Chest.
Why was it so successful? Ultimately, the project is a symbol of the modern day Arts & Crafts movement going on right now. I don't think we're alone in calling it the Maker Movement. Is it simply a rejection of vapid consumerism & the mass produced disposable products that are so common today? For Sure. Or, is it a newer manifestation of the DIY and underground music movements of the 80's and early 90's? Probably some of that too.
Whatever the reason for the Maker Movement and the inspired furniture being made in basements and garages around the world, the Anarchist's Tool Chest is one of the most widely reproduced and inspiring designs of this period in time... and Horton Brasses has caught the Maker Spirit.
Now, 8 years after its introduction, we've done a bit of tinkering ourselves. WeĆve re-imagined the hardware for the infamous ATC to reinvigorate your imagination. All the hardware are original designs from Horton Brasses, made by our blacksmith in Tennessee. Items available separately or bundled together for a better price.
