These drawer locks are English; made by the Squire family. They have been making locks for more than 300 years.
The LK-20 is a half mortise lock for the slant front of a desk or secretary. It differs from a traditional drawer lock because the selvage is angled at 105 degrees instead of 90. Many woodworkers cut the rabbeted edge on a drop front at an angle to allow for expansion and contraction. Each desk lock is supplied with 2 decorative antiqued keys.
Optional strike plates (SP-2) are available in all 5 brass finishes as well.
