Every piece of Horton Brasses forged iron hardware is a work of art, crafted by professional blacksmiths the old fashioned way-with a hammer, an anvil, and a coal fire. Between them, they create hundreds of stock and custom reproduction forged iron pieces.
Our forged iron hardware pieces are forged in coal fires. Then our professional blacksmiths draw them out and shape with a hammer and anvil. The pieces are blackened from the heat only-No Paint-and then a linseed oil finish is applied. Each piece is one of a kind in a living finish. Iron does rust-and we can paint the iron on request.
