Stand in front of the cabinet door. If the hinges are on the right, choose a right handed lock. If the hinges are on the left, choose a left handed lock.

An outstanding product. I called the company to get advice before ordering two locks and they were very informative and helpful. Each lock comes with two keys that are too rustic for my application, so they offered to have them brass plated for me. Everything I've bought from Horton Brasses has been of the highest quality. Beautiful piece of hardware that failed the first week using it. I could not unlock it. Thankfully Horton immediately replaced it. The customer service was excellent. Hopefully it doesn’t fail again.
