One of our most popular hinge, these non mortised hinges are available in 7 finishes. Here it is featured with a ball tip. We believe this is the best non-mortised hinge on the market today.
Made from extruded brass, each is machined to precision tolerances. The hinge leaves measure 1-1/2" wide when open by 2-1/2" tall. Perfect for 3/4" thick wood.
Please note: You must put a back bevel in your cabinet doors when using ANY non-mortise hinge. 2-3 degrees is plenty.
Do you want to use these hinges in a production environment? Feel free to make jigs and fixtures. Every hinge is exactly the same, and extremely precise. In fact, you can use the same jigs and fixtures for both NM-3, NM-5, and NM-7 non-mortised hinges.
All hinges ship with matching screws. Slotted or Phillips head screws are available. Remember to pre-drill screw holes if you're using our hinges for hardwood cabinets. Hinges are also supplied with a set of zinc-plated pilot screws for installation.

Barrel Hinges for Kitchen Cabinets, May 1, 2017 By Kirk Thomas (Lubbock)(Verified)
I wanted nothing but the best for my kitchen cabinets, so that meant flush inset raised-panel hardwood doors and beaded face frames. Why would I cut corners with Euro-style cup hinges. I tried Horton butt hinges and Horton non-mortise hinges. I settled on the latter not because they were easier to install but because they gave me a little more reveal. After the first half-dozen or so doors, I got the hang of hand fitting each door to its opening. I am extremely pleased with the results and will be ordering more for the next bank of cabinets.

...who specializes in flush inset cabinetry I've tried many different butt style hinges including of course mortising hinges of superb quality. The NM3 from Horton is the only hinge Ive found that matches not only the look of mortised hinges but the quality of some of the finest models. That and the ease of use make them the ONLY butt hinge I will use. See my kitchens and other work at www.georgeramoswoodworking.com
